The Technical Difficulties Club

At school Mrs. Miller started a club called The Technical Difficulties Club.

Every Wednesday night our club meets, and we do all sorts of stuff.

We Skype, work on projects, and work with other schools on fun stuff.

Together we've made changes in the world.

For example, our whole school worked together to make Rainbow Loom bands.

Then we sent then to an orphanage in India.

Our school has made a difference.

And you all can too!

Check It Out! My First Post On My Very First Blog!

It all started with a phone call.

A phone call to my librarian Mrs. Miller.

It was 7:30 PM on a Saturday night.  I told her I wanted to make a blog so I could post my school newspaper and share it with the world.

(To read the whole story, go to Mrs. Miller's blog here too.)

You see, I have been creating a newspaper since 3rd grade....I am now in 5th.  I make it on my computer at home and use Microsoft Word and then I print it off and share it with my classmates.

For my newspaper, I ask my classmates to write stories and give them to me.  Then I take them home and type them into my computer.  When it's done my Mom will edit it.  I also add pictures to go with the stories they write about.

I love to write my newspaper and it's one of my most favorite things to do.  I hope I can continue it on my blog.

So, we decided to get together and make a blog.  It got delayed a few times but today I finally got to make my first post on my first blog.
To start, I named my blog "News from the Heartland", because I will be posting news from all over the state and from my own school.

On my blog, I hope to share my news with the world.  I want to make a blog that will give information out and be a place I can share my friends stories too.

I hope you check it out too!
